Head of Department: Andrew Brunt

In health and physical education, the focus is on the well-being of the students themselves, of other people, and of society through learning in health-related and movement contexts.
The primary learning strands that we focus on within our department, from Year 9 through to Year 13, are:

1) Physical Activity Experiences
2) Biophysical Principles
3) Skill Analysis and Development
4) Skilled Performance
5) Interpersonal Skills and Social Responsibility

Assessment in the Senior school is primarily internally assessed through a range of Internal Achievement Standards at each level, each of which is reflective of one of the strands noted above.
The department is almost ready to move into our brand new Physical Education and Sports Centre. This is an exciting time for our department as we work towards being an ultra modern, technologically advanced learning area.
