Drama Department
The DRAMA Department is vibrant and growing. Students perform in a variety of plays and settings. They develop skills in acting technique and enjoy working with their own devised stories. Play texts that range from New Zealand Theatre to European and American works are studied and performed along with theatre forms such as Commedia dellíarte and Shakespeare. Developing strong communication skills is fundamental to each course of study.
Alongside the skills in acting, there are opportunities to work with Performing Arts Technologies such as lighting, sound and set design. Drama is a University accredited subject and students may study up to Scholarship level in Year 13.
